Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-10-15
Read this text in Bahasa Malaysia: Terma Perkhidmatan. If the two versions differ, this English version prevails.
These terms cover Ririko AI 2.0 ("Ririko"), a Discord bot and its web dashboard. Read them together with the Privacy Policy.
1. Who These Terms Are For
1.1. Ririko is open-source software. Anyone can run their own copy. Two groups of people use it:
- Users of the public bot use the Ririko bot that the maintainer runs. The maintainer is the operator of the public bot.
- Self-hosters run their own copy of Ririko. The self-hoster is the operator of that copy. People who use a bot that someone else hosts are users of a self-hosted bot.
1.2. In these terms, "the operator" means whoever runs the copy of Ririko that you use. "The maintainer" means Earnest Angel (see section 13).
1.3. Sections 3, 4 and 8 to 14 apply to everyone. Section 2 explains the difference between the two groups. Section 5 applies to users of the public bot. Section 6 applies to everyone who uses an AI feature. Section 7 applies to self-hosters.
2. Public Bot and Self-Hosted Bots
2.1. Public bot. The maintainer runs it. The maintainer is responsible for its data. Requests about your data go to the maintainer (see section 13 and the Privacy Policy).
2.2. Self-hosted bot. The host runs it and controls its data. Requests about your data go to the host, who answers them. The maintainer does not run it, cannot see its data and is not responsible for it. The maintainer takes no responsibility and no liability for self-hosted bots.
2.3. A host may change the code, the settings and the links to these texts. These terms describe what the Ririko code does. A host can differ from it.
2.4. For both the public bot and self-hosted bots, the maintainer gives no guarantee and accepts no liability for any loss, to the fullest extent the law allows (see sections 9 and 10).
3. The Code and the Art
3.1. The source code of Ririko is licensed under the MIT License. The license text is in the LICENSE file of the repository. You may use, copy, change and share the code under that license, also for commercial use.
3.2. The MIT License does not cover the images, the logo and the other art of Ririko. The maintainer owns them. You may not copy, change, share or make new works from them without the written consent of the maintainer. The same applies to the websites of the maintainer.
3.3. Card images in the Waifu TCG come from outside sources. Each card shows its source. The owners of those images keep their rights. See the Waifu TCG guide. If you own a card image or other art and want it removed, write to me@angel.net.my.
3.4. All other rights stay with their owners.
4. Lawful Use and Age
4.1. You may use Ririko only for lawful purposes. You must follow the law that applies to you, the Discord Terms of Service and the Discord Community Guidelines.
4.2. You are responsible for what you type, upload or send through Ririko. It must not break the law or the rights of other people.
4.3. You may use Ririko in a server only if you have the right to do so. If you act for an organization, you confirm that you may bind it to these terms.
4.4. Do not use Ririko to harass people, to send spam, to attack other services, or to get around the limits and the permission checks of Ririko or Discord.
4.5. You must be at least 18 years old. If you are younger, do not use Ririko.
4.6. Your content. You keep your content. Ririko uses it only to run the feature you asked for, to keep the service safe and to follow the law.
4.7. Claims. If your unlawful use of Ririko, or your breach of these terms, causes a claim by a third party, you are responsible for that claim.
4.8. Virtual records. Credits, balances, XP, cards and items are virtual records. They have no cash value. They can be changed, reset or removed.
4.9. Your own copies. Keep your own copies of anything that matters to you. Ririko is not a backup, security or record-keeping tool.
5. The Public Bot
5.1. The maintainer runs the public bot as a free service. It may change, stop or have downtime at any time.
5.2. Ririko acts in your server only with the permissions that you give it. The people who manage a server choose those permissions. They are responsible for them, for the role of the bot, for their own moderation decisions and for the safety of their Discord accounts.
5.3. Abuse. If Ririko is used against these terms or to harm others, the maintainer may warn, limit, suspend or block the user, or remove the bot from a server. The maintainer may do this at once where needed.
5.4. The public bot can have limits on use (for example a daily limit on images).
6. AI Features and AI Consent
6.1. The AI chat, the translation and the image features send your text to an AI provider that the operator has set up. The providers Ririko can use are OpenAI, Google Gemini and Replicate. Ollama and ComfyUI run on the host's own machine. See the Privacy Policy, sections 5 and 6.
6.2. Explicit consent. No AI feature works for you until you press "I agree" on a prompt. The prompt names the providers that the bot uses and explains what is kept. This is the same on the public bot and on self-hosted bots. There is no setting that turns the prompt off. If you press "No thanks", the AI features stay off for you.
6.3. What the providers do. An AI provider keeps what it receives under its own terms and privacy policy. The maintainer and the operator cannot control or recall that data. If you ask for deletion, the operator can only pass your request on to the provider.
6.4. Your control. You can delete your chats and withdraw your consent at any time with ai clear, ai clear all and ai consent withdraw. The Privacy Policy, section 5, explains each one.
6.5. AI answers and images can be wrong, strange or offensive. Do not rely on AI output alone for medical, legal, money, safety or moderation decisions.
6.6. Do not send passwords, API keys, payment details, confidential information or the personal data of other people to the AI features.
7. Self-Hosting
7.1. If you run your own copy, you are the operator. You are responsible for the server, the keys and tokens, the database, the backups and the data of the people who use your copy.
7.2. You must follow the law that applies to you when you collect or keep data about your users. The Privacy Policy describes what the code stores. It does not replace your own duties as an operator, and you may need your own privacy policy. You can link your own pages in the notice that users see.
7.3. You answer requests about the data in your copy. The maintainer does not receive data from copies that other people run. Ririko 2.0 does not send statistics to the maintainer.
7.4. You are responsible for the services you connect to your copy (for example an AI provider or a music source), and for their terms and costs.
8. Acceptance
8.1. After your first command, Ririko shows you a short notice one time. It says that by continuing to use the bot you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. It links both texts. Ririko records which version you accepted. If the texts change in a way that matters, the notice shows once more.
8.2. If you keep using Ririko after a change to these terms, you accept the new terms. The "Last updated" date shows the version.
8.3. AI features need the separate consent in section 6.
8.4. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use Ririko.
9. No Warranty
9.1. Ririko is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty, express or implied. The maintainer does not promise that Ririko is accurate, reliable, secure or always available.
9.2. This section does not take away rights that the law gives you and that cannot be waived.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1. To the fullest extent that the law allows, the maintainer and the contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damage from the use of, or the inability to use, Ririko. This includes loss of profit, goodwill, data and other losses. It applies to the public bot and to self-hosted bots.
10.2. This includes loss of money, loss of business, and loss of Discord servers, accounts, items, currency or cards. In-game credits, items and cards of the Waifu TCG have no real-world value.
10.3. This includes loss or misuse of data held by a self-hosted bot, and data that an AI provider keeps after you used an AI feature.
10.4. No clause in these terms removes or limits a liability or a right that the law says cannot be removed or limited. Some places do not allow some of the limits above. Then the limits apply only as far as the law allows.
11. No Duty to Support
11.1. The maintainer does not have to give support, fixes or new features. Any support is given at the maintainer's choice.
12. Changes and Ending
12.1. The maintainer may change or stop Ririko, or part of it, at any time, with or without notice.
12.2. The maintainer may change these terms (see section 8).
12.3. You can stop using Ririko at any time. To stop, remove the bot from your server and sign out of the dashboard. To remove your data, see the Privacy Policy, sections 8 and 9.
13. Contact
13.1. Ririko AI is a property of Earnest Angel (https://angel.net.my/). Contact: me@angel.net.my.
14. Governing Law
14.1. These terms follow the laws of Malaysia.
